BE A HERO Haiti Disaster Relief

The heart-wrenching devastation in Haiti has been brought into our living rooms via graphic TV footage. It is real people suffering beyond comprehension, without food, water, medical care, shelter, power – the basics of life. We can change the channel, or we can help!

Be a hero by donating to our disaster relief fund. Our partners in Haiti will help repair two orphanages and a school that were heavily damaged in the earthquake, and provide assistance to the local community and vulnerable children. We’ve waited a few days before sending out a request for assistance as we wanted to verify that we would be able to get donated funds into the hands of our responsible, trustworthy people (and that they were still alive!)

The children’s homes, 30 minutes outside of Port au Prince are run by Love Mercy, and the school, in Port de Paix, 250 km from Port au Prince, (also severely impacted by the earthquake) is run by Union Évangélique Baptiste d’Haiti. BE A HERO may also assist other friends as we are able. Thousands of hungry, thirsty, injured, grief-stricken people are leaving Port au Prince, desperately seeking help in the surrounding communities.
