ABSOLUTE HEROES

Absolute Heroes arranges a Hero Holiday to Dominican Republic for high school students each year. Be A HERO assists with promotion, and finding donors to supply materials for the building projects undertaken on the Holiday. Dominican Republic Hero Holiday gives high school students across this nation an opportunity to meet poverty face to face, and in the middle of it, make a difference and bring hope into someone else’s life. The Hero Holiday includes humanitarian relief projects such as building homes, bringing food to the hungry, distributing gift bags by the thousands and offering medical support. Project details may change from year to year, and even from week to week. The goal is to build healthier, stronger communities by offering whatever assistance is needed.  Dominican Republic Hero Holiday is a division of Absolute Leadership Development, a non-profit organization that exists to help students realize their incredible value and potential, and empower them to change their world. ALD’s high school teams have traveled in every province in Canada and have spoken to over 600,000 students to date. In 2005, 150 students participated in the Dominican Republic Hero Holiday; in 2006 this mushroomed to 300!
