ABOUT US
Be A HERO is an international charity working to raise up an Army of Heroes for an urgent global crisis – endangered children. We believe that everyone has a dream of doing something significant with his or her life. We connect everyday, ordinary people with opportunities to change the world, in small ways, and in large ways. As Mother Theresa said, "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop." Our vision is to show others how they can help the 1.2 billion ‘children at risk’ because of poverty, child labour, slavery, homelessness, sexual exploitation, aids and plagues, and war. Be A HERO representatives worldwide present the plight of children at risk to hundreds of audiences, large and small, every year, supported by our offices in Canada, USA, Australia, and the Philippines.

Be A HERO partners with organizations that: are seasoned and proven; are experienced and efficient; have a close personal relationship with us, are good stewards of the finances, and have demonstrated their commitment to raise up the children that they work with to become strong Christians. Our function is to research and examine organizations and projects to make sure they meet our standards before we promote their projects. We then “match” interested ‘heroes’ with a project that fits their vision of what they would like to do to save 'children at risk'. For further information on our Field Partners, click here.
